A BRITISH INVESTMENT BANK

Shadow Business Secretary Chuka Umunna MP’s proposal to set up a British Investment Bank was right on track; we are the only G8 country not to have such a government backed institution. The creation of an Enterprise Bank is long overdue and would help to get much needed investment into companies to help business growth and encourage entrepreneurship. Mr Umunna also said that Labour would also create a Small Business Administration (SBA) to support small firms in their dealings with government departments. Come on Mr Cameron, these are great ideas! Work together and do it now. Business support from government should not be a political football, we all want to achieve the same thing! What do you think?
